RSVPing to an event

How to mark yourself in or out for an event, what the waitlist means, and how to change your answer.

To RSVP, open the event — most often from the Play tab — and tap I'm In or I'm Out; you can change your answer any time until the organizer locks the field.

How do I RSVP?

The easiest way is from the Play tab, where every upcoming event you're part of shows an RSVP card: tap I'm In to play or I'm Out to skip, and your answer takes effect immediately. The event page has the same card if you navigate there directly instead. If your league uses player-entered handicaps (the default), a short sheet asks you to confirm your handicap for the event right after you tap in — this is what your strokes are based on, so give it a second before confirming. If your league has turned on League Index (a computed handicap), this step is skipped — your number comes from the platform, not from you.

What does the waitlist mean?

If the event is full, the button reads Join Waitlist instead of I'm In. Being waitlisted means you'll automatically get a spot if one opens: when a player who was in changes to out, the first person on the waitlist is promoted and takes their place. You don't need to do anything — you're in the moment a spot frees up.

Why was I put on the waitlist?

Spots are limited by tee times: each round has a set number of tee-time slots, and once every slot is filled, the event is full. In a multi-day event, you need a spot in every round — if any single round is full, you're waitlisted for the whole event. If you tap I'm In on an event that's already full, the confirmation sheet tells you on the spot that you've been waitlisted instead, so you're never left wondering why your status doesn't say "in."

Can I change my answer later?

Yes — switch between in, out, and waitlist freely while the event is open. Once the organizer locks the field (which freezes handicaps and closes RSVPs), the RSVP buttons go away; if your plans change after that, contact your organizer.

Why am I asked to confirm when I switch to out?

If tee times have already been set for the event, switching from in to out asks for one confirmation, because leaving affects other players — someone else's group has to be re-paired to fill the gap. If you switch to out before tee times exist yet, it takes effect instantly with no confirmation needed.

Does my RSVP cover every round of a multi-round event?

Yes — one answer covers the whole event, not each round separately. There's no way to say "in" for one day of a multi-day event and "out" for another; if you can only play part of a multi-day event, let your organizer know, since splitting the days into separate events is how they'd let you answer each one on its own.

What if the event doesn't ask me to RSVP?

Some events skip RSVPs entirely. For those, every active league member is automatically counted in, and the organizer sorts out groups on the day — no action needed from you.
