To create a league, go to Leagues, tap Create a league, fill in a name and league type, and tap Create league. The person who creates a league becomes its commish — the league owner with full control over settings, members, and events.
How do I create a league?
- Open Leagues from the navigation bar and tap Create a league.
- Enter a League name (for example, "Saturday Skins League").
- Check the URL slug — it is filled in automatically from the name, and you can edit it before creating. A green "Available" check confirms no other league has claimed it.
- Pick a Type: Co-ed, Men's, or Women's.
- Optionally add a Description of what your league is about.
- Tap Create league. You land on your new league's page as its commish.
What is the URL slug, and can I change it later?
The URL slug is your league's permanent web address — the identifier that appears in every link to your league, including its public page. The slug cannot be changed after the league is created, so choose it carefully. It is generated from your league name (lowercased, with hyphens between words), but you can edit it on the create form before submitting. Each slug is unique across all of ForeYourLeague — if yours is taken, the form tells you before you create.
Which league type should I pick?
The type — Co-ed, Men's, or Women's — describes who plays in your league. Pick the one that matches your membership. Most mixed groups choose Co-ed.
What settings should I review first?
Only a commish or admin can manage league settings. From your league page, open the menu and choose Manage, then use the Settings tab. Worth a look before your first event:
- Profile — edit the league name, description, and type at any time (the slug stays fixed).
- Logo — upload a league logo. It appears on your league's pages and public page.
- Public page — a toggle that controls whether anyone with the link can view your league page and event leaderboards without logging in. When it is on, you get a shareable link to copy.
- Join passcode — shown when the public page is on. Setting a short, memorable word (for example, "BIRDIE") lets visitors join your events directly from the public page; leaving it off keeps the public page view-only. See Joining a league for what visitors experience.
- AI Features → Post-round recap — an optional AI-written narrative recap of each round. It is off ("Disabled") by default; if you turn it on, you choose a tone from "PGA Tour" (clean and professional) through "No filter", plus an optional recapper name and style note.
The Members tab on the same Manage page is where you review your roster and assign roles once people start joining.
What should I do next?
Bring in your players — see Inviting and adding members for invite links, adding guests directly, and what each member role can do. After that, create your first event from the league page.
